A piece written for the re-opening ceremony for the University of North Carolina's Aycock Auditorium. It would later become the first annual Collage Concert. The composer represented the school's music composition department.

The “B” theme is taken from second movement of the composer’s own First Symphony (The Hymn to the Aten, op. 10).
